How to properly mount your phone on a motorcycle?

Fixing your phone on your motorcycle is simple: a magnetic mount goes on in 5 minutes, tool-free for strap models. The real question is choosing the right system based on your handlebars type and usage.

Which mount for your handlebars?

Most motorcycles (roadster, trail, adventure, custom) have tubular handlebars between 22 and 28 mm. Three support levels cover this format:

Engine vibrations: think about your camera

The engine generates vibrations that travel to the handlebars, then to the mount. On a short ride, the impact is minimal. On a long distance or with a high-torque engine, your phone's optical stabilizer (OIS) can suffer.

Installation: how does it work?

Here's the process for a Shapeheart magnetic mount:

1. Place the mount on the handlebars: wrap the strap or screw the collar depending on the model.
2. Stick the metal plate on the rigid shell of your phone, on the back. Only on a smooth, rigid case, never directly on the device. Or slide your phone into the magnetic Sleeve.

Allow 5 minutes the first time for tightening. After that, attachment and removal are instant, even with gloves.

What if the phone falls?
